MK-JKC01 Electric Pottery Kiln – 1300°C, 30L
30L Electric Pottery Kiln for Ceramic & Clay Firing
The MK-JKC01 is a compact electric pottery kiln designed for firing pottery, ceramics and compatible clay products at temperatures up to 1300°C. With an approximately 30-litre chamber, 2.5kW electric heating system and mullite refractory construction, it provides a high-temperature firing solution for pottery studios, workshops, educational environments and other suitable ceramic-production settings.
Its relatively compact chamber makes the MK-JKC01 suitable for smaller firing batches where the capacity of a larger production kiln is unnecessary.
Up to 1300°C Firing Temperature
The kiln is designed to reach temperatures of up to 1300°C, providing the high-temperature environment required for compatible ceramic and pottery firing processes.
The appropriate firing temperature and firing schedule depend on the clay body, glaze and other ceramic materials being processed. Operators should follow the material manufacturer's recommended firing schedule and remain within the kiln manufacturer's specified operating limits.
30-Litre Ceramic Firing Chamber
The MK-JKC01 has a nominal chamber capacity of approximately 0.03m³, equivalent to 30 litres.
This places it within the smaller end of the electric pottery-kiln market, making it suitable for small-batch ceramic firing, samples, individual pieces and other applications that do not require a large production kiln.
Mullite Refractory Chamber
The firing chamber uses mullite refractory material to provide thermal insulation and withstand the elevated temperatures required during ceramic firing.
Mullite-based refractory materials are widely used in high-temperature furnace and kiln construction because of their temperature resistance and insulating characteristics. Comparable high-temperature furnaces also use lightweight mullite refractory structures in their chambers.
Electric Kiln for Pottery & Ceramics
Electric heating provides a controllable firing environment without the burner and fuel system associated with gas-fired kilns.
The MK-JKC01 can be used for compatible pottery, ceramic and clay firing, making it suitable for ceramic studios, workshops, educational facilities and small-scale ceramic production.
Compact Kiln for Studios & Workshops
With a 30-litre nominal chamber, the MK-JKC01 provides a more compact alternative to larger production pottery kilns.
Potential environments include pottery studios, ceramic workshops, educational facilities and appropriately equipped private studios where the electrical supply, ventilation, heat clearance and installation requirements of the kiln can be met.
Installation & Electrical Requirements
The MK-JKC01 is a 2.5kW, 220V high-temperature appliance and should be installed on a suitable non-combustible surface with the clearances, ventilation and electrical arrangements required by the manufacturer.
As with other industrial equipment, the electrical circuit, protective devices, cable and connection method should be appropriate for the supplied kiln configuration and applicable local requirements.
Adequate ventilation should also be provided during ceramic firing, particularly where clay bodies, glazes or other materials may release gases or vapours during heating.
